Jessica Azzinaro

Pelvic Floor/Women's Health Physical Therapist

Jessica Azzinaro, PT, DPT is a physical therapist specializing in pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, incontinence and pregnancy and postpartum care.  Her mission is to treat and educate women suffering from bladder and bowel problems, prolapse, pelvic pain and orthopedic problems associated with pregnancy and postpartum.   Working in a setting with the physicians allows an enhanced approach to the rehabilitation of these diagnoses.  


Education and Experience

Dr. Azzinaro completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, graduating cum laude.  She graduated from University of Miami’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, graduating magna cum laude in 2010.  While in school she found her passion for pelvic floor dysfunction and that has become her specialty. Prior to joining the Florida Center for Urogynecology, she worked at the University of Miami Hospital’s outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic, treating orthopedics, oncology and her focus was on pelvic floor dysfunction.  She had a significant role in the development of the pelvic floor program at the University of Miami hospital. She has continued her pursuit of knowledge with courses in pelvic floor and obstetric physical therapy with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Section on Women’s Health and the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.  In 2014 she became a certified pelvic floor physical therapist through the APTA.  Jessica is published in the Translational Andrology and Urology Journal, has written a book chapter on physical therapy after pelvic floor surgery and has been a guest speaker and lecturer on the benefits of pelvic floor physical therapy.  Her goal is to provide compassionate and knowledgeable care to women.
